Exposures UK Student Film Festival Best of the Fest DVD ReviewThe wheelI thought this film was very nicely designed; the animations were of a really good standard and I think this film would be suitable for young children as it tells the story of a wheel that travels to space. Not recommended for teenagers. Can i buy you a drink? This film was really well filmed it created a lot of suspense, and was very gripping. It was a horror film and used a mobile phone messages to create a frightening effect. I don’t think the film is suitable for young children without adults as there are a few explicit images however I thought the story was a good idea and the images used were dramatically effective. Every street dreamsThis was the best film (and no I’m not being bias) it really was! The animations were AMAZING and the idea for the film was sooooooooooooooooo original. I especially liked the first dream where a woman spoke of going to work in her nightie. This film deserved an award perhaps underexposed should be made competitive LMAO. That’s what’s so sadThis was an animated film that used fruits and vegetables as people. It had a few hints of humour with moments such as pears playing guitars. It was simple but sweet. ConeheadI liked the music in this film and I thought the film was humorous with the character getting run over by an ice cream van. The animations were extremely good and I liked the design. Waiting for happinessThis film was really nice and quite girly too. The girl who starred in the film and narrated it made me laugh with her wild imagination and her high hopes. It was a biographical film that told the romantic story of the girl’s parents. Recommended for people who like romantic comedies. PhotographI thought the animations of the film were really good and the images used worked well with the music The really terrible orchestraThis is a comic documentary about an orchestra that plays very badly. All members in the group have problems such as tuning and timing and the only audience they get is their families. Recommended to everyone. KenkenebThis was a film that just quizzed your knowledge of sounds, was a very basic plot but was well animated. Suitable for children 7 and under. Darkie dayThis film was about a day when a town in Cornwall celebrates a day called Darkie Day that remembers the end of the slave trade. It is a documentary film which shows a young man going out into the community and questioning the local people about what they think about the day: the music played, the idea of people painting their faces black to portray the image of slaves. An unusual but good film. The cummerbundThis film won an award last year and it is an entertaining film especially for young children it tells the story of a fearsome monster known as the cummerbund. Its story is told through a poem by Edward Leer. Review by LiveWire Critic, Chloe Daniels July 06 Order your own copy of the DVD here. |
