The Ten Point PlanOn Sat 5 Nov 05 the first official LiveWire Critics meeting took place at Cornerhouse. The first task for the team was to come up with a Ten Point Plan for A Better LiveWire and here it is: 1. Promotion & Outreach Promote LiveWire as much as possible through the website, Cornerhouse and exposures Student Film Festival. Possibly employ an outreach officer to deal with this and to promote LiveWire through schools and colleges in the north west. 2. Livewere studio Apply for funding for at least four LiveWire Studio Films a year. 3. Post Livewire Set aside funding for one project a year for over 18, ex-LiveWire participants. Also arrange mentoring and placement opportunities. 4. Livewire website Expand the website as more projects are implemented, such as LiveWire Critics. 5. Equipment & Software Aim to provide more equipment and computer software such as CGI and computer graphics software. 6. Talks & Speakers Arrange talks and guest speakers as part of LiveWire. 7. Attract more young people Get more young people involved with LiveWire by implementing more projects of varying subjects such as drawing, filmmaking, writing (LiveWire Critics) and new media projects. 8. Cornerhouse & Livewire Merge Cornerhouse with LiveWire more by showing more films for young people as part of LiveWire. 9. Trips out Aim to take young people out on more trips as part of LiveWire Critics and possibly organise a residential filmmaking trip. 10. Livewire Critics Expand upon and promote LiveWire Critics. |
