A LiveWire Studio film funded by First Light

The making of Every Street Dreams took place between Sept and Dec 05.

This documentary/animation film looks at the dreams of the individuals that live on one street in Manchester. People were asked to record their dreams and they were interviewed the next day by the film crew. The dreams were then recreated with animation.

The ideas for this film came together through a collaborative process between young people and workshop leaders/filmmakers who attended LiveWire discussions.

There's something for everyone in this little masterpiece, with the use of stop-motion, flash and cel animation. There's also a bit of blue screen and the use of special effects. Listen out for the soundtrack which was specially composed for the film.

Film Festival Success

Since its completion, Every Street Dreams has screened at: exposures UK Student Film Festival, Warrington Film Festival, Showcommotion Film Festival, Co-op young People's Film Festival, and the UK Film for Youth Film Festival. It won best animation at the First Light Movie Awards 2007 and is currently screening on www.itvlocal.com and www.virginmedia.com
